ABSTRACT

This paper addresses the management tips and the role of the choral director in choral music performance. It is a fact that to have a proper management of the choir, one has to have certain knowledge of the choir, the singers and the song. This is because most choral directors lack the basic skills of attending to the musical and non-musical needs of the choir.  According to Bach in Udoh (2008) merely to speak and to sing, are of nature…. However, to speak or sign well, are of art… (Bach, C.EP) “There is not any music or instruments whatsoever comparable to that which is made of the voices of men, where the voices are good and the same well sorted and ordered ” (Byrd. W).
